Is It Really Hard On Acne And Pimples? Check out Khadi Natural Neem and Tulsi Face Wash Review

Khadi products really grab my attention as they are herbal and pocket friendly and those that are SLS and Parabens free are good options to try for. I also tried some of the shampoos/hair cleansers but I never tried any of the face washes by khadi. Khadi Natural Neem and Tulsi Face Wash was my first purchase and I bought this on recommendation  of one of my friends who was a big face of this face wash.

I purchased Khadi Naturals Neem and Tulsi Face Wash thinking of it to be from Paraben and SLS free range but I ended up buying the normal one.

So, let’s see how this one worked for me. Continue reading further to know the full review of the Khadi Natural Neem and Tulsi Face Wash.

What Product Claims

Khadi Natural Neem & Tulsi Face Wash is a herbal formulation that generally removes impurities and prevents pimples, enriched with neem oil and tea tree oil.

Ingredients of Khadi Natural Neem & Tulsi Face Wash

Aqua,Purified Water, Neem Ext (Azadirachta Indica), Aloe vera Ext (Aloe Barbadensis), Neem Oil (Azadirachta Indica), Teatree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia), Wheatgerm Oil (Triticum Vulgare ), Basil Oil (Ocimum basilicum).

The ingredients list didn’t mention the base ingredients. Khadi Natural sells SLS and Paraben Free products with SLS and Paraben free written on the front of the bottle and here i didn’t find any.

Price of Khadi Natural Neem & Tulsi Face Wash

210ml of this Khadi Neem and Tulsi Face Wash is priced at INR175 which I think is fairly priced. The bottle would easily last you around 2-3 months.

Packaging

The face wash comes in a classic khadi bottle packaging. The bottle is cylindrical in shape and made of plastic with a black crew cap on top with flip opening over it. The flip cover is tight enough to prevent spillage.

Considering the size of the bootle, it’s too big to carry around.

Texture Color and Fragrance

The product has a thick gel like consistency. The color of the face wash is dark green which seems quite artificial to me when I see it in a bottle as a whole. It has a strong neem and tulsi fragrance which I don’t think is its natural fragrance.

How to use Khadi Natural Neem & Tulsi Face Wash

Take less than a coin size amount and gently rub it on your wet face to form a lather and rinse it off with normal water and pat dry your face. The face wash forms rich lather.

Skin Type

Especially curated for acne-prone skin. Its ingredients act on acne and pimples and soothe the skin.

My views on Khadi Natural Neem and Tulsi Face Wash

I started using this face wash just before the onset of summer season as I Knew that summer is going to be tough on my skin. Summer brings me excess oiliness and acne breakouts hence, resulting in an oily face that attracts a lot of dust and dirt. So, I thought of choosing this khadi Neem and Tulsi Face Wash that soothes and heals the skin acting on acne and pimples.

Telling you about my first impression, the face wash lathered quite well but it was a bit difficult to wash it off. Its strong fragrance was a bit of a disappointment to me. I am a lover of face washes with a slight refreshing fragrance to them but this one was a way too strong for me.

The face wash left my face clean and clear. I have extremely oily skin and this face wash removes all the excess oil from the skin effectively but I felt it was a bit harsh for my skin. It left my face a bit stretchy after the face wash which I don’t like. It felt as if it pulled out all the natural moisture from my skin. I quickly run for my toner and moisturizer after it.

I used it for around a month and I didn’t see any commendable changes in eruption of my acne and pimples. It helped me a little but I wasn’t satisfied with it.

After a month of usage I gave it to my brother to try it as he is also an oily skin type. He really enjoyed using the product and it didn’t feel harsh to him. One thing that he too disliked about it was that it sticks to the skin and takes time to wash it off the face. Otherwise he was satisfied with the product but I was not.

Pros

  • Infused with herbal ingredients.
  • Non-irritating.
  • Removes dust and dirt effectively.

  • Antibacterial and antiseptic properties.
  • Combat acne and pimples to some extent.
  • Reasonably priced.
  • Spill proof packaging.

Cons

  • Dries out the skin.
  • Strong fragrance.
